Department of Occupational Therapy
Otosense has a well-equipped Occupational Therapy department which provides completely individualized care for every child. Occupational therapists work with children and their families to equip each child with the gross motor skills necessary for successful participation in his or her environment and to develop age appropriate fine motor skills that instil confidence and independence in each child.
Occupational therapist has main role in developing effective visual motor skills that enable him or her to feel confident and successful in all contexts such as in playground with peers, and during self-care at home. The department helps the children in exploring their senses in a safe environment and learning how to organize sensory information, thereby enabling increasingly successful participation in their day-to-day surroundings. We helps the children to build the skills necessary to recognize how their body processes and responds to sensory input, as well as strategies for adaptation in a variety of environments to facilitate desired levels of alertness. The department helps to assist children in developing self-care and daily living skills through the use of evidence-based interventions designed to promote independence and participation in everyday tasks.
Otosense Healthcare has a virtuous team, always focus on a high value on parental collaboration, so clinicians work closely with parents to create an evidence-based treatment plan that targets individualized goals. All our professionals work together with a multidisciplinary team of ENT Surgeon, Speech-language pathologists, Audiologist, Special Educator and Psychologist to ensure that every child receives the most comprehensive care possible.
