CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

Otosense Speech and Hearing Healthcare was established since 2016 at Thiruvalla, the NRI city of Gods on Country. For me starting a well-equipped quality Speech and Hearing Healthcare at central Travancore region is a dream nurtured deep in my heart, when I finished master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology. The dream to create a state-of-the-art speech and hearing healthcare destination, which one day will become an ideal centre for those who are suffering communication disorders.

Otosense has highly qualified responsive professionals, most advanced facilities for diagnostics and therapeutics and latest innovations of hearing aids which meets world’s standard, gives you better care and services. The client centric approach, affordable treatment cost and peaceful environment makes us the best centre at central Travancore area. In future, we hope to add on more centres and other facilities in the coming years. We offer parent and public awareness programs conducive to the prevention of Hearing loss, illness in children and early identification of communication disorders.

Mr. SHIJIN VARGHESE (MASLP)
Senior Audiologist and Speech Pathologist
Founder Chairman Otosense Healthcare

Mr.Shijin Varghese is atechnically sound Interventional Senior Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist and founder chairman of Otosense Speech and Hearing Healthcare with over one decade of experience to his credit. He is the head of the Audiology and Speech Language Pathology Department at Government Hospital Thiruvalla since 2014. He has worked as the visiting speech therapist at Thiruvalla Medical Mission Hospital and the head of the Audiology department at Shravan ENT care Ernakulam. He has worked as the head of the Speech and Hearing department at Marthomacenter for Rehabilitation and Development Centre Thelliyoor. He hascompleted his Bachelor Degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from Kannur University and Master’s Degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from Mangalore University. An expert in all speech and language disorders, Adult Neurological Language Disorders, Assessment and diagnosis of hearing disorders, Hearing aid trial and fitting. He has been trained for cochlear implantpre and post counselling and AVT Therapy, Voice therapy, Swallowing Therapy, from Madras ENT Research Foundation Chennai, Manipal Medical College Udupi, and Malabar Cancer Centre Kannur.

He is the Member of Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA) and the Executive council member of Kerala State Branch (KSB-ISHA) of Indian Speech and Hearing Association. Published articles in National and International Journals.He has published many articles in National and International Journals.

Dr. Mathew Abraham

Dr. Mathew Abraham is a senior specialist in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) with a sound experience of 40 years of practice and surgical proficiency. After completing his MBBS from Alapuzha Government Medical College Hospital, his commitment and passion for medicine inspired him to complete his MS - ENT from K.M School of Post Graduate Medicine Vadilal Hospital Ahmedabad- 1981.

He was a leading ENT specialist at Kerala health services since 1981 -1988. He was the Head of the department at District Hospital Kottayam from 1983 to 1988 and then joined Ministry of health UAE as Specialist A.over 29 years. From 2017 onwards he worked as Head of ENT department at Parumala St.Gregorios Hospital and Mammen Memorial Hospital Chengannoor.

Dr. Mathew Abraham has done research and published many articles in various clinical papers, national and international journals. He is passionate about finding holistic, tailored and individualised care plans for his patients with a good team. The collaboration with other specialties such as Audiologist, Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Special Educator, ensures that the patient is offered complete quality care. Mrs.Reeja Shijin is a highly experienced Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist with more than 6 years of experience. She isinstrumental in establishing Otosense healthcare andtheChief Operating Officer of Otosense Speech and Hearing Centre. She is also an expert in managing psychological and behavioural issues in children with Speech and Language Disorders. She has worked as the Head of the Audiology and Speech Pathology Department at Shravan ENT Care Cochin. She is well experienced in assessment and management of children with speech and language disorders, Adult Language Disorders, Autism Intervention, hearing aid fitting, and she is a compassionate and caring Speech Pathologist. She has been trained for speech therapy for all age groups from NIMHANS Bangalore and Malabar Cancer Centre Kannur. She is the member of Kerala State Branch (KSB-ISHA) of Indian Speech and Hearing Association. She completed her Bachelor Degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from Kerala University of Health science and Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (MAPC) from Indira Gandhi University.

Dr. Roby Thomas Koshy

We believe in personalising each patient’s care for better outcomes. Dr. Roby ThomasKoshy is a specialist in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ENT). He is the Head of ENT Department at Otosense Paippad branch. After completing his MBBS from Karnataka he served as a medical officer in Endosulfan Rehabilitation,Kasargod and worked in KIMs as a resident doctor for a span of 3 years. His commitment and passion for medicine inspired him to complete his MS - ENT from Mahatma Gandhi medical College and research institute,Puducherry 2023
After having selected as senior resident in CMC Vellore and became a vertigo clinician ever since.Dr. Roby ThomasKoshy has done research and published many articles in various clinical papers. Ms. Jitty Thomas (BASLP)

Ms. Jitty Thomas (BASLP) is an Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist and she completed her graduation in Audiology and Speech Language pathology from Mangalore university.

She has trained in diagnosis and management of speech language and hearing disorders. She excels in providing comprehensive treatment solution for fluency and swallowing disorders. She is also an expert in managing children with cochlear implants. She got trained in audiological evaluation and dispensing hearing aids. She had the privilege to attend various training programs from NIMHANS Bangalore, Dr. S.R Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing ,Dr.Sankar ENT Clinic Calicut and Holly Cross Hospital Kollam.

Ms.Keziya Anna Kuriakose (BASLP)

Ms.Keziya Anna Kuriakose (BASLP) is an Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist Graduated from Mangalore University. She got trained in diagnosis and management of childhood language disorders, Autism, ADHD, fluency and other language conditions. She is also an expert in managing children with cochlear implants. She had the privilege to attend various training programs from Kasturba Medical college Mangalore, Dr.S.R Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing,Dr.Sankar ENT Clinic Calicut, St,Johns Hospital Bangalore.

Mrs.Ashmin.A (BASLP)
Senior Audiologist and Speech Pathologist

Ashmin is a senior Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist with 9 years of experience. She has done Bachelor degree in Audiology at Rajive Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. She is a well experienced Speech Language Pathologist, worked in numerous centers including AL Noor Center for Children with Special Needs Dubai, UAE, AnsarHospital Trichur, Nediyathu Speech and Hearing Aid Centre, Mavelikkara. She is well experienced assessments and therapy for all age groups for children with delayed speech and language disorders, hearing impairment, intellectual disability, voice, autism spectrum disorder and audiologist evaluation and hearing aid fitting and counseling. She is experienced in managing individualized education programs of students by planning and conducting activities of individual, group and routine based intervention. She shows great initiative, positive attitude in her work and also approachable..

Mr. Naveen Prasad (BOT)
Occupational Therapist

Mr.NaveenK is an Occupational Therapist Graduated from Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai. Hewas an Occupational Therapist at "Able Medi Park " in Thrissur.He had the privilege to trained from NIMHANS Bangalore, St.Johns Medical CollegeHospital Bangalore, Bharani Pavanthan Multi Speciality Hospital Erode and Parrot Child Development Care Calicut.
He is a skilled Occupational Therapist with an expert in Managing Autism, ADD, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Behavioural Issues, and ADL Impairment. He is Committed to enhancing the safety and well-being of clients with a variety of backgrounds and conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He shows great initiative, positive attitude in his work and also approachable.

Mr. Samson Kuruvilla (BOT)
Occupational Therapist

Mr. SamsonKuruvilla (BOT) is a Senior occupational therapist with 22 years of experience in developmental disorders, neurologicaldisorders, hand rehabilitation and mental health. He is currently the head of Occupational Therapy department in Otosense Speech and Hearing Healthcare. He completed his Graduation in Occupational Therapy from K.M.C.H College of Occupational Therapy. He had the privilege to Workin DEALLCOM Bangalore and SAMVAAD Institute with Paediatric Community in Bangalore and he was a part of PMR team at King Khalid University Hospital, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. He has worked at St.Gregorios Medical Mission hospital, Parumala in Mental health department.He is s a of part of Marthoma Centre for Rehabilitation and development Thelliyoor.

Mr. Samson has also amassed extensive experience in training students and senior occupational therapist at Samagra Shiksha Pathanamthitta, Govt.Of kerala, Autism Project. He was also a resource person for NIEPMD,Chennai. Member of All India Occupational Therapist's Association (AIOTA)and Kerala Branch (KOTA).

Mrs. Susan James
Snr. SPECIAL EDUCATOR

Mrs. Susan James is a Senior Special Educator and the Head of Special Education Department in Otosense Healthcare. She is an accomplished and dedicated educator with a profound commitment to enriching the lives of children with special needs. With a career spanning several years, Susan has accumulated a wealth of experience in various educational settings, including special schools, public schools, and rehabilitation centres.
As a Special Educator at St. Mary’s Residential Public School, Susan has been instrumental in shaping the educational experiences of her students. Her responsibilities include adapting the curriculum to suit the learning needs of students with special needs, planning and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEP), and conducting valuable remedial sessions.
Susan's experience extends to her role as a Special Teacher at Pathanamthitta Municipality BRC, where she has trained and educated both children and adults with cognitive disabilities. Prior to her current roles, Susan served as a Special Educator at M.G.M Bethany Special School, where she played a pivotal role in planning, preparing, and implementing IEPs for children with intellectual disabilities. She also served as the coordinator for ' Nallapadam,' a project focused on social skill development.
Susan's academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education. Her dedication to research in the field of special education is evident through her notable contributions to the study of educational accessibility and vocational skill development. Her research work has shed light on innovative strategies to make education more accessible to students with special needs and has highlighted the importance of vocational skill development to enhance their long-term prospects.She also worked as a district level resource person for SCERT Kerala for implementing Current Special School Curriculum.

Mrs.Geethu A
(B.Ed. in Special Education)

Mrs. Geethu A is a special educator she completed her B. Ed in special education from Kerala university. She has trained in managing various disorders such as Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. She had the privilege to trained from in National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (NIPMR) Chalakudy, Sanjoe Sadan Special school Thuravoor, Aardra buds’ school Cherthala and also as a resource teacher in General schools. Worked as a special educator at helping hands organization Trivandrum.A strong background in building relationships withstudents to aid academic and personal growth.

Ms.Rintu Susan Roy is an enthusiastic and well organised medical receptionist with an excellent patient care support and communication skills in a medical setup.Excellent telephone manner and a warm personality combined with a proficient knowledge of clerical duties and MS Office. She has Completed B. Com Computer Application from Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam.
